Why does menopause cause fatigue?
titolo articolo o alt immagine

With the onset of menopause, it is physiologically natural for a woman to feel tired and demotivated, as this is a stage of life that triggers a number of mental and, above all, physical disorders. Many women find themselves having to fight against a sudden feeling of exhaustion that makes even the simplest everyday activities, i.e., everything that before used to be part of the normal routine, difficult to carry out. Even running a household and family may seem an impossible task: this condition, which is often frightening to experience, is much more common than you may think. The instinct of going to sleep may surface at any moment: after a meal or with the slightest exertion, and it often goes hand in hand with a general state of confusion and partial memory loss.

How can I solve this problem?

It is important to avoid falling into a vicious cycle of perpetual tiredness in which the sense of fatigue just increases more and more to the point of causing generalized mental and physical exhaustion. As such, starting out with a healthy dose of self-love is almost always a good idea: making conscientious choices to improve an upset state of mind may help to make the transition into this delicate stage of life less traumatizing for women. Choosing a good mattress to sleep on may help you fall asleep more easily, although it, unfortunately, won’t guarantee your sleep will be entirely stress-free. Adopting a regular sleeping pattern can help you do that: setting rules for yourself may seem tedious and stressful, but it is rather highly functional. Going to bed at night and then waking up in the morning always at the same time helps to adjust your sleep-wake pattern if you consider that it takes the body about one week to get used to the new schedule. A good tip is to avoid drinking energy-boosting drinks such as tea or coffee before you go to bed, just as it is advisable not to go to sleep right after dinner, but you should rather wait at least 4 hours so that the stomach is neither too full nor too empty. Adopting a relaxing routine is the golden rule: treating yourself to a warm and scented bath before you go to bed and spreading essential oils on your pillow will turn the act of going to sleep into a soothing cuddle for your personal and exquisite enjoyment. The goal is to stop thinking about the things you have on your agenda during the day and let yourself go, so as to achieve a state of complete relaxation. Choosing the right mattress to sleep on is an essential requisite to improve the quality of your sleep.
