Sustainable Wellbeing
For over 60 years, sustainability has been a constant, measurable commitment for us, based on concrete actions and certified results. It is not just an action plan that accompanies every stage of our production chain, but above all a responsibility we have towards the planet. From the invention of vacuum packing, which revolutionized logistics by reducing volume and emissions, to the use of photovoltaic panels for renewable energy production, and the recovery and valorization of waste within a circular economy approach, every choice is aimed at reducing environmental impact.
Percentage of our energy needs covered by renewable sources.
Percentage reduction of CO₂ thanks to the vacuum packaging system.
Reduction in our electricity consumption over the last 2 years.
Reuse of all production offcuts reintegrated into the production cycle.
Total CO₂ emissions (in tons) avoided over the last 5 years.
At a time when sustainability was not yet a topic of discussion, in 1986 Giuliano Magni patented vacuum packaging, a Made in Magniflex innovation that has since revolutionized the mattress industry.
From 3 mattresses per m³ packaged using the traditional method, to 13 mattresses per m³, resulting in a reduction of CO₂ emissions from road transport (-75%).
In 2025, we completed the revamping of our first photovoltaic system, making it more efficient and aligned with our sustainability goals.
Thanks to this upgrade and the new solar panels introduced in 2023, we now cover 65% of our energy needs with renewable sources. Our goal is to exceed 70% by June 2026: another step towards an increasingly sustainable future.
The amount of waste materials generated by a 100% Made in Italy manufacturing activity like ours is significant. But every scrap can become a new resource, a true raw material to be reintroduced into the production process.
This is what we have always done, recovering 100% of our production offcuts (fabric trims, fibers, polyurethane, etc.), which become part of new, safe and sustainable products.
For this reason, we are committed to upholding strict principles of responsibility and we expect the same from our suppliers. We collaborate only with partners who adopt ethical and sustainable practices, contributing to a positive impact across the entire supply chain. Magniflex has joined the ambitious United Nations Sustainable Development Goals project, which aims to achieve 17 goals by 2030. These 17 objectives are considered fundamental to ensuring a better and more sustainable future for all the inhabitants of our planet. A project that spans various economic and social areas, aiming to improve living conditions for everyone, ensure access to resources, and preserve the environment and climate. So that future generations can wake up every day in a truly more livable world.
Our close collaboration with various international certification bodies guarantees the importance our company places on sustainability and quality.
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100
The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification guarantees the absence of harmful toxic substances for both humans and the environment in every component of our products.
OEKO-TEX® STeP
The OEKO-TEX® STeP certification ensures high sustainability standards and the implementation of industry best practices across environmental, social, and production processes.
Sustainable Logistics
We take care of the environment through combined vacuum-packed logistics (road and rail), resulting in a reduction of carbon dioxide emissions (45,100 kg of CO₂ reduced in 2015).
ECOVADIS
EcoVadis ranks us among the top 35% of companies with the highest sustainability performance in the 2025 report.
The EcoVadis assessment examines 21 sustainability criteria, grouped into four areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
